When a porta potty is honestly fine.

We'll say it even though we rent the other thing: sometimes a porta potty is the right call. A construction site, a field bonfire, a kids' sports day in rubber boots. If nobody is dressed up and the budget is tight, a standard unit does the job.

The math changes when the event matters. At a wedding, a client-facing corporate day, or a milestone birthday, guests are in their best clothes for eight hours and every one of them uses the washroom. That's when the trailer stops being a luxury and becomes the detail people compliment.

What's the difference between a porta potty and a washroom trailer?

A porta potty is a single plastic stall over a chemical holding tank, with no running water. A washroom trailer is a towable building with private flushing toilets, running-water sinks, mirrors, lighting, and heat and air conditioning. One feels like a real washroom; the other is a place you visit as briefly as possible.

Is a washroom trailer worth it for a wedding near Calgary?

For most weddings, yes. Guests are in dresses and suits for eight or more hours, and every one of them uses the washroom. A luxury trailer gives them flushing toilets, warm running water, mirrors, and climate control. Party Poopers rents a two-stall executive luxury trailer, quoted for your date and venue, and delivered and set up by the owners.

Do porta potties work in cold Alberta weather?

Standard porta potties are unheated, so spring and fall events around Calgary get uncomfortable fast, and cold nights are hard on guests and the unit. A washroom trailer has heat, plus air conditioning for heat waves, so it stays comfortable through Alberta's swings.

How many guests can it handle?

Two private rooms comfortably cover most weddings and events up to about 100 guests, by the industry rule of thumb of about one stall per 50 guests for a four to six hour event. A long reception or an open bar lowers that; for a bigger list, send your headcount and run of show.
