The short answer.

Yes, a backyard or tent wedding can have real washrooms. We deliver a self-contained luxury washroom trailer, sometimes called a restroom or bathroom trailer, to yards across Calgary and area. It brings its own tanks, runs on standard power or a generator, and suits most weddings up to about 100 guests.

  • Two private rooms with deadbolts and occupancy indicators
  • Flushing porcelain toilets and warm running water
  • Halo-lit mirrors and crown moulding
  • Heat, air conditioning, and insulated walls
  • No plumbing hookup, and nothing goes into a home septic system

Quoted for your date and venue. Multi-day rates available.

Planning the yard, from the driveway in.

Most backyards can host the trailer. Here is what we look for in your photo of the spot.

A sketch of a backyard wedding layout: the trailer sits on level ground near the driveway, plugged into the house and filled from a garden tap, with a lit path to the tent, away from the food and out of the photo backdrop.HouseDrivewayTentBuffetArchABCDEF

  1. A level spot a truck can reach

Driveway, gravel pad, or firm lawn, as long as a truck can back the trailer in and it sits reasonably level. Send a photo and we confirm before any deposit.

  2. Power within reach

The trailer has 30A and 15A power inlets, or it runs on a generator. Tell us where the nearest outlet or panel is.

  3. A hose tap

We fill the 160 US gal fresh tank from a garden tap on site. No tap? We bring water in for an added fee.

  4. A short, lit walk from the tent

Close enough that nobody hikes in dress shoes, with the exterior under-glow to find it after dark. Ask about evening path lighting as an add-on.

  5. Away from the food

Not beside the buffet, the bar, or the head table.

  6. Out of the photos

Not behind the arch and not in the sunset view. We help you pick the angle.

Working through the whole list? The acreage and tented wedding checklist covers guest count, placement, power, lighting, and timing.

The tent is where the evening happens. The washroom should feel like part of it.

Keep the party out of the house.

A home bathroom is built for a household. A wedding sends a steady line through it for six hours and, on an acreage, onto a septic system never sized for a crowd.

Backyard wedding questions.

More in the full FAQ, or call or text (403) 483-2064.

Can you put a washroom trailer in a backyard for a wedding?

Yes, if a truck can back it onto a reasonably level spot such as a driveway, gravel pad, or firm lawn. It needs standard power or a generator, and a hose tap for the fresh water tank. Send a photo of the yard and we will confirm the fit before any deposit.

How much does a washroom trailer cost for a backyard wedding in Calgary?

It is quoted per event. The quote depends on the number of days, whether there is water on site, and the distance from Calgary. Delivery and other charges may apply, such as bringing in water when the venue has none. Your quote lists everything. A 50% deposit holds your date. Quotes do not include GST. Send your date for a full quote, usually within a day.

Why not just use the house bathroom?

Because a home bathroom and septic system are built for a household, not a hundred guests over a long evening. The washroom trailer keeps the line out of your hallway, and its own tanks keep everything out of the house system.

Does the trailer need a water or sewer hookup?

No. It is self-contained, with onboard fresh and waste tanks. Water on site, such as a hose tap, lets us fill the fresh tank. No water at the venue? We bring it in for an added fee.

Where should the trailer go at a tent wedding?

Close to the tent but not against it: a short walk guests can manage in dress shoes, away from the food and head table, and out of the photo backdrops. Exterior under-glow helps guests find it after dark; ask about evening path lighting as an add-on.

How many guests can one trailer handle?

Its two private rooms suit most events up to about 100 guests, using the common rule of thumb of one stall per 50 guests for a four to six hour event. A long night or an open bar lowers that; for a bigger guest list, talk to us.

Is the trailer step-free?

No. It has fold-out aluminum steps, so it is not a step-free unit. If a guest cannot manage steps, plan another option, such as a washroom in the house.

How far ahead should we book for a backyard wedding?

As soon as you have a date. One trailer serves one wedding at a time, and summer Saturdays go first. 2026 is fully booked and 2027 is booking now.
